This course is aimed at the complete, machine sewing beginner. It will take place over two sessions. Bring your own sewing machine, or use one of the beginner machines provided at no extra cost. The first session will take you through the basic workings of a sewing machine, guide you on what you need to know to get started, and get you sewing a few basic seams. In the second session you will make a tote bag, with a reversable case, in a fabric of your choosing, which you will then take home with you. Join us for a relaxed and creative workshop where you’ll design and decorate your own beautiful trinket box to take home. Using a combination of decoupage papers, cast plaster flowers and leaves, and a touch of paint, you’ll create a unique, decorative piece — perfect for keeping jewelry, keepsakes, or as a handmade gift. No previous experience is needed, just come along and enjoy the process. All materials and equipment will be provided, so you can simply turn up and get creative. Make a Toadstool Fairy House (2-week course) Mon 29th June & Mon 6th July | 3:00–6:00 | £32 Step into a tiny magical world and create your own toadstool fairy house over two sessions . The first week, you’ll build your house from air-drying clay, shaping all those lovely little wonky, whimsical details. In the second week, you’ll paint it and bring it to life, adding all the cute finishing touches. It will even have a light inside for that warm fairy glow. You might look at these and think “I could never make that”… but honestly, you can. Toadstools in real life aren’t perfect, and that’s exactly the charm. Yours doesn’t have to be either… in fact, the quirkier, the better. Everything is provided, and you’ll leave with a completely unique little creation to take home. A relaxed, friendly session, no rushing, no pressure. £10 deposit secures your place (places are allocated to those who pay first). There’s usually loads of free parking right outside, and tea and coffee are included.

These One to One Sewing lessons can be on any aspect of sewing you need help with: if you’re a complete novice needing to get started; or already have some experience, but struggling with a certain aspect of sewing; the session will be completely led by you, and what you want to achieve.
