It’s ideal if you’re interested in fashion and want to design but don’t want to spend time making tote bags or practice projects that don’t excite you. Suitable for some sewing experience. You’ll learn by sewing real clothing from the start — confidence is built through doing, with plenty of help along the way. This course is suitable for someone who may have tried sewing before but never had lessons and needs to review basics. We also offer an absolute beginners class which spends more time on basics. THIS LINK IS TO BOOK 7th & 8th March 2026 Swimwear Making Weekend Course (Beginner–Intermediate) This two-day weekend course is designed for anyone curious about making their own swimwear and wanting to build confidence working with stretch fabrics. Held in our Liverpool dressmaking studio. Across the weekend, you’ll learn how to handle and sew stretch and swim fabrics, work with elastics, line and finish your garment neatly, and assemble a swimwear piece from start to finish. Teaching is hands-on and practical, with plenty of individual guidance throughout. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a completed swimwear piece and the skills to continue making more at home.
