In this session, learners will use a drop spindle, carders, and both Irish and Scotch tension spinning wheels. There will be the opportunities to blend different coloured (and types) of fibre if desired - using carders, a blending board, and drum carder. Specific requests are welcome as a private session can be tailored to your priorities/interests. Materials for use in the session are included in the cost. Supplemental materials to take home are subject to a further charge. Options will vary based on current stock, but a range of fibre types and colours are always avaiable.

Graffitti Embroidery merges the practice of free-motion embroidery with graffitti styling - emerging from the creative collaborations of landscape graffiti artist Joe Webster (aka eNuF) and social sculptor artist Catherine West. Learn the principles and have fun practicing 'drawing with a sewing machine' with a focus on lettering. A wide range of thread colours will be available for experiments 'thread painting' in your designs. Previous participants recommend a two-hour session.

The content of the session is customisable to your interests and amount of time booked. An hour session can introduce you to the practice, with a focus on flat felting. 3-d felting and wet felting require greater time. This session includes a needle felting starters kit worth over £10.
