April 11 2026 Come See Downton Abbey better known as Highclere Castle We will pick you up at 0700 and drive to Bampton, the village used for Downton village. We will arrive there at around 10.30.am Here you will be able to walk the “Downton mile” Youll see Crawley House, The Green where the war memorial was Various houses filmed as the Grantham arms, the post office, the hospital and much more. Here you will have time to wander around. You will then stop for lunch in Bampton after which we will then make our way to Highclere Castle around 45 minutes away, your tickets will be from 2.30 where you will go on a self-guided tour of the house and grounds and the Egyptian exhibition. You can stop for a cup of tea and maybe a cake in the café there in the grounds of the castle absorbing the splendour of the castle. Meeting back at the transport at 4.45 as the castle closes at 5pm For the drive home you will return to Dover for around 19.30 pm. Have a wonderful day.
