Mothers' Day Deconstruction Workshop
Mother’s Day: Reclaim Your Calm 🌿 Half-term is officially over! We love our little ones, but holding together a household (especially over half term) comes with a very heavy invisible load. This Mother’s Day Saturday, we’ll be ripping, cutting, and unravelling reclaimed textiles—not because we’re frustrated (although you're welcome to vent any frustration here!), but because we deserve a moment to let go of the pressure of "perfect". What to expect: Cathartic deconstruction (T-shirts, duvet covers etc). Learn to make your own textile yarn from waste. A safe, quiet space to vent and "unravel" with other local mums. Tea, coffee, and zero questions about "what we're doing today"! The Details: The Wellness Centre, Troedyrhiw Saturday, March 14th | 10am - 12pm. The Buddy Deal: Solo Ticket: £15 | OR Bring your own Mum (or a bestie!): 2 Tickets for £20 Come and find the woman behind the "Mum." Drop the workload at the door and leave with a giant ball of yarn and a much lighter heart.
Pilot Workshop - Eco Placemat / Coaster
Become one of the founding 6 for a cozy morning of mindful making. We’ll turn reclaimed T-shirts into beautiful Petal-Edge placemats in a relaxed, supportive space. No experience needed, just a desire to find a little calm. I believe that making something beautiful with your hands (like turning an old T-shirt into functional home decor!) is the ultimate way to find a little moment of peace in a busy and sometimes scary world. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned crafter, I can’t wait to welcome you to our cozy circle and help you find your creative flow. Session will be held at The Wellness Centre, Bridge Street, Troedyrhiw, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 4DT.

At Craft A Calm Soul Co., we give these damaged or unloved garments a second chance. We rescue a jumper or t-shirt and transform it into soft, durable yarn suitable for crafting projects.

Do you want to support the mission further? We have a small Etsy store where crochet patterns and mental health tools are available, with more to come later in the year.
