Services
Fully mobile — we come to you. No gym membership or clinic visit required.
1. Initial Appointment
Your initial appointment is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand your injury, movement, and performance goals. The session begins with a detailed discussion of your injury history, training or sport demands, and current symptoms. This is followed by a thorough physical assessment, which may include movement analysis, strength and flexibility testing, and sport-specific tasks where appropriate. The aim is to identify the root cause of your issue rather than just treating symptoms. You’ll receive a clear explanation of your diagnosis and an evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation plan tailored to you. This may include hands-on treatment, targeted exercises, load management advice, and guidance on return-to-sport timelines. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clear plan, practical next steps, and confidence in your recovery.
2. Review Appointment
Review appointments are used to monitor your progress and progress your rehabilitation plan. The session begins with a brief check-in to discuss how you’ve been feeling, how symptoms have responded since your last appointment, and how you’ve managed your exercises or training. Your rehab programme will then be reassessed and progressed as appropriate, which may include changes to exercises, loading, or movement strategies. Hands-on treatment may be provided where beneficial to support recovery and performance. Each review session is tailored to your stage of rehabilitation, ensuring you continue to move forward efficiently and safely. The goal is to optimise recovery, reduce injury risk, and support a confident return to sport or activity.
3. Sports massage
Sports massage focuses on reducing muscle tension, improving mobility, and supporting recovery from training or competition. The session begins with a brief discussion to understand your activity levels, problem areas, and any current aches or restrictions. Treatment is tailored to your needs and may target specific muscle groups or full-body areas depending on your goals. Techniques are used to reduce tightness, improve tissue quality, and promote circulation, helping you move more freely and recover more effectively. Sports massage is suitable for both athletes and non-athletes, whether you’re managing ongoing tightness, recovering from intense training, or looking to maintain physical performance.
4. Cupping session
Traditional cupping therapy to boost circulation, relieve deep muscle tension, and accelerate the body's natural recovery process.
About
AXYS Performance & Rehabilitation provides assessment-led rehabilitation and injury management, delivered as a mobile clinic across Nottinghamshire.
What AXYS Performance & Rehabilitation Is
AXYS Performance & Rehabilitation provides assessment-led rehabilitation and injury management, delivered through a mobile clinic. There’s no need to travel or take time out of your day - sessions are delivered in your own environment.
AXYS was founded with the aim of helping people recover properly from injury - not just manage symptoms or rely on short-term fixes.
Who AXYS Works With
AXYS works with individuals experiencing:
- Sporting and non-sporting injuries
- Long-term or persistent pain
- Work-related pain and movement issues
- Gym and training-related injuries
- Post-injury deconditioning
- Older individuals with mobility issues
AXYS also supports longer-term rehabilitation following trauma, including neurological conditions such as stroke, provided individuals are medically stable and cleared.
How Sessions Work
Each session begins with a thorough assessment, including clinical screening, movement assessment, and strength testing. This allows a clear understanding of what is contributing to the issue.
Based on this assessment, treatment and rehabilitation are tailored to the individual. Sessions may involve hands-on treatment, movement-based rehabilitation, and progressive strength work, depending on the person’s needs and goals.
Rehabilitation is always individualised — no two injuries or people are treated the same.
The Aim of AXYS
The aim of AXYS Performance & Rehabilitation is to help people:
- Move better
- Feel stronger
- Regain confidence in their body
- Improve quality of life
- Return to work, sport, or everyday activity safely
If you’re unsure whether AXYS is right for you, you’re always welcome to get in touch and ask questions before booking.
